The first professional association for neurofeedback therapists PAINT (Professional Association for Integrated Neurofeedback Training) - was established in 2005.
Since January 1st 2009 the NCH therapists also are registered at the Professional Association for Integrated Healthcare of the Dutch Federation for Healthcare i.e. Nederlandse Federatie voor Gezondheidszorg (NFG). This is an umbrella organization responsible for quality control and certified courses within integrated medicine.
A grievance committee and disciplinary committee form part of the NFG. Since November 2008 the first neurofeedback therapists have already been certified by PAINT and it is the intention that in the near future all NCH courses will be certified by the NFG as well.
Since January 2005 the NCH provides monthly follow-up courses for trained neurofeedback therapists in order to provide for an adequate supply of information on new developments in the field of neurotherapy.
