Introduction
Welcome to the website of the Neurotherapy Center Hilversum (NCH). The NCH is one of the first neurofeedback centers in the Netherlands and offers a wide range of integrated training methods in order to optimize brain function. We apply these training methods, referred to as Neurotherapy, to the following areas:
Neurotherapy encompasses an integrated combination of biofeedback modalities such as EEG (electroencephalogram), heart rhythm, body temperature, and skin resistance (Galvanic Skin Response). Because Neurotherapy draws upon the nervous system's own ability to learn and adapt it can be used to alleviate or cure a wide variety of physical and emotional problems.
With Neurotherapy, you continuously get feedback on your physiological responses. The feedback is incorporated in a computer game or dvd movie you are watching, making the therapy not only effective but also highly entertaining.
Neurofeedback is particularly suited for children, because it is neither invasive nor painful, on the contrary, it is a lot of fun. Your child simply has to play a computer game or watch a cartoon. Especially good results have been obtained in the past using neurofeedback to treat young ADHD patients.
